101 days left

Hello everyone! I know it has been ages since my last blog post and I’m sorry for that but I was hit with some inspiration to write seeing as I only have 101 days left in Denmark. I just got back from my study tour to Austria and it was absolutely incredible. I went skiing with 2D which is my friend Maria’s class but they kindly let me tag along because I couldn’t go to the US with my class on their study tour. I had never been skiing before so it was definitely a learning process with a lot of falls but I had a lot of fun trying to learn. We went to this little town in Austria called Neukirchen. It was interesting hearing German and stepping out of the routine I have made in Denmark.  Being on top of the mountain there was so beautiful and I can’t wait to go back to Austria on Eurotour in May. Speaking of Eurotour I have received the information about it and I cannot wait. It is going to be 18 days from the 22nd of May to the 8th of June and we will be going to 8 different countries on a bus. Basically I cannot wait but I’m also scared for it to come because it kind of marks the end of my year. Anyway today has been pretty relaxing but also kind of interesting. So I didn’t have a class in the morning just two in the afternoon so I  hung around and slept in which was nice and then I got on my first train headed to my school no problems. I made it to central station and made a quick switch to my next train and then it headed off to tarnby like it always does. So normally the train ride takes about 8 minutes but today we got stuck on the tracks. Now I wasn’t really surprised by this because this particular train line is delayed at least once a week usually but it usually only takes 5 minutes for the train to be up and running again. Today was a different however and the train ended up being delayed about 50 minutes and at that point I had already missed the start of my class and would’ve only made it for the last 30 minutes. I then decided that I’d rather go to park and wait for my next class then go wait in the school. It’s a beautiful day a bit chilly but the sun is out and there isn’t a cloud in sight. So I guess its kind of a good thing that my train was delayed because I’m loving this spring weather. In the time that I’ve been away from my blog so many incredible things have happened and I have grown to love Denmark and all the people I have met here even more than I thought possible. So I pretty terrified that I am already at my last 100 days. But I’m not done with this adventure yet and I’m looking forward to hopefully more sunny days of spring and a little bit of summer here in Denmark.

Lots of love

Abbie
